What is Vector Art? Vector graphics is the use of geometric "primitives" such as points, lines, curves, and shapes to represent images in computer graphics.  Vector art is key for printing.   Since the art is made from mathematical curves, it will print very crisply even when re-sized. Vector art is required when imprinting a logo or text onto tangible objects such as ink pens, hats, ice coolers, etc.  Can you substitute Raster Art or Bitmap Graphics for Vector Art?  Unfortunately, no.  Raster art looks great at its original size, however it can only be adjusted a small amount before it begins to lose its clarity.  What Programs Create Vector Art? Vector illustration is most commonly done in programs such as Adobe Illustrator, Macromedia Freehand, Flash and CorelDraw. Unacceptable Files: Photocopies, faxes, business cards, letterheads and all non-vector art from the internet are considered to be "non-production ready art". Files from word processing software such as Word, PowerPoint, Ventura Publishing, Microsoft Publisher cannot be used. Quark, XPress, Adobe PageMaker or files from any other page layout software cannot be used. Adobe Acrobat PDF files are used for reading and viewing only, and should not be used as a vehicle for transfer. Submitting your Vector Artwork Files:   Please save your file in the .eps Postscript Format   Make sure your .eps file does not contain any Postscript errors, stray points or colors   All text that has been set must be converted to outlines (curves). If future changes to the text are necessary, the original font file must be supplied
